...as the young people used to say. Or so I'm told, anyway.

Been shooting film off and on - mostly off; life will do that to you- for about twenty years now.

Develop my own in rodinal and its generic equivalents.

Folks ask, 'why use those old cameras?' And I answer, 'because I'm a cheap bastard and they're paid for already.'

Got an old Nikkormat ftn, a yashica d and a, and - don't judge me - a Kiev 88.

Love me some fomapan and any other cheap film, but can appreciate Portra 160 - makes everybody look like a model - and acros 100.

That said, this place is overrun with hipsters, and it's always awkward when I'm mistaken for one of them because of my 'ironic' cameras.....

One of my favorites - shot out the front door of my shotgun shack of a house. Kiev 88, Fomapan 100, rated at 50, rodinal 1+100, one hour, borax 1 gram per ltr.

David, welcome. You live in Hipsterville. Don't let that get in the way of your doing it your way. There are still plenty of folks who understand wet darkroom in your area.

Thanks for the encouragement, and for all the great info from the good folks here.

And, yes, it might have been a bit sharper, that front-door shot. Such is life after 40 - not sure where focus really is when your eyes start to go.

Better focus, this one. Same camera, same film, same method as before.
