Source/solution for square paper

I do a good bit of 6x6 medium format. In the past I have usually cropped my images so that they fit on standard 5x7 or 8x10 paper, but I find now that I rather like the square images. I know that I can trim my paper to 5x5 or 8x8, and use the scraps for test strips, but its a bit of nuisance. Is there any place that I can buy paper precut to these sizes?

If not, what are other people doing to get square paper?

Don't they sell 10x10 paper in Europe?

The other choice is to buy roll paper then cut it to size. It's only one cut if you want square.

The only company I know of who sells square papers is Slavich, in Russia. I think you have to contact the company directly to get price quotes. I have only seen it on their website, and my russian vocabulary is limited to "thank you", "comrade" and "cheers" so I haven't asked them, either...

my favored way is to use 8 x 10 paper to make 7 1/2" square prints. I usually don't even bother cutting it down before printing. The top and bottom margins are good places to make pencil notations on the back before processing without worrying about marring the image area.

Simple, cut down 8x10 paper to 8x8 for a 7x7 image & use the 2x8 leftover as a test strip - effective and cost efficient!

Since I usually hinge mount and overmat, I'm glad to have the extra margin.

If you would rather have a square sheet, another option is to cut the prints after they're dry, so you only cut the keepers. Sure you waste that strip, but how many test strips does one need?

The 8x8 paper with free extra test strips sounds pretty damn good to me!

Just get a good trimmer and it won't seem like a chore!

I usually bind the prints into stab-sewn books, so that extra space to the left of the image is put to good use. When printing 35 mm I also leave a large left margin, so I actually use more of the paper when printing square.

I had a look at the Kentmere website. Only Kentona has a 10x10 format. Fine if you're a FB user but no good if it is any other paper you use. I wonder why it's only Kentona? You'd think if there's a demand for square in Kentona FB there would be a demand in other papers.
