Source for VERY small lens screws?

I have this old,maybe 1980s, Rokinon macro auto zoom 28-80mm that i've used for years. Started sticking the other
day and took it apart (my first time,didnt even know they came apart!) and found 2 screws inside the zoom part missing/broken.
Also need the plasitic shoulder things the screws go on.
Any idea who sells small screws like this?
Rokinon wants $35 plus labor if i ship it there and like to do it myself. thanks

I would try microtools first if you know the size or can measure:

You can search for optical screws as well on google. As for the plastic part, is it a nut you talking about? if it is not a common part, you may have to make it, or take it from a junker lens of the same model. good luck

I find it amazing Rokinon will service their old stuff from the 80's.......that's a company that really stands behind their product if that's true. I've got an old 80-200 f4.5 and a 28 2.8 Rokie and I love them.

I work as a repair tech in a laptop repair center and have a fairly large box of screws. Send me a photo of what you need and I'll dig around at the office tomorrow to see if I have it.

I managed to get a lot of small screws from an optician's shop. Some high street opticians (optometrist, spectacle suppliers, whatever they are called in your part of the world) repair frames and assemble spectacles. One place I visited the repair man was obviously VERY messy and the floor under his bench was covered in literally thousands of screws. They let me scoop up a hand full for free.
Less messy opticians should still be able to supply small screws. Whether they will have the right size, thread and head shape that you require, is obviously a different matter... but might be worth asking.

There aren't any standards for miniature screws. The screws are custom designed to the application. I am sure that Rokinon uses the same screws in many of its lenses, but those screws won't be the same as those Nikon, or any other maker, uses.

If you do a lot of repair it is worthwhile buying up non-working cameras to strip for parts like screws. Often you can find a screw or fiddly bit that fits well enough even though it isn't an exact fit. It's like going to the junkyard to find parts for an old car.

Thanks for the info! the plastic part goes around the screw, like a shoulder to let the lens zoom and twirl i suppose. I'll try and get a pic of it.
