I've googled without much luck. I prefer vintage-style photo albums that use adhesive corners and have the heavy tissue paper interleaves. My recent return to printing threatens to fill my remaining stock of these albums that I've stashed from random thrift-store etc. finds. Finding old ones on eBay is a painfully slow process and so far, all the new ones I've found for sale are either very obviously wedding-album oriented, faux-high-end overpriced leather, or both. I know I could turn to the scrapbooking industry and build my own out of binding posts, art paper, and vellum, but thought I'd see if anyone has a lead first.

No problem finding such in Germany. Though with glassine interleaves. (Never saw an album with heavy paper interleaf.)

Yes, the interleaves are glassine; some of my vintage finds have designs embossed into it. But I have enough trouble getting anyone much under my mother's age to know what I'm talking about, that I unconsciously used the more familiar though less accurate term.

Perhaps your countrymen have less proclivity towards tossing out the tried and true in favor of the cheap and plastic.

There is a UK album supplier, Kenro, that supply "traditional" style page albums. I am sure they are available in the USA on Amazon.
The traditional type is mainly aimed at the wedding album market but have a look at their website.
Here are a few links:

This google 1st result dealer already ships worldwide. Look at the various categories at the left and then at the descriptions of the very albums, many of the albums are what you are looking for. This already gives you an idea what basically is available here:

Thanks, guys - these are great leads. Apparently it helps a lot, when searching, to stop including my desired size in inches!

I repeatedly hinted at the vastly different offer between the USA and (West-)Germany concerning photo products. But that today this also applies on albums, surprised me.

Actually I already find it remarkable that such albums still exist at all.

Even though I have retired, I help my son with his online shop. He sells the "old school" type albums with slip in pages, plain pages and self adhesive pages.
He has never been busier, trying to keep up with customer album sales.
Yes, it is a niche market, just like film developing and film sales, but I believe the album market is expanding. This is obviously a sign of people returning to printing their photos from phones etc.
Have a look at the website.

Yes, but the industrial printed photobook is a major competitor to the classic album with loose photos.

Yes you are correct but I think there is also a market for the "old school" type album.
The old school album can be akin to scrapbook style album as well as organised album with photos in slip in pouches. Also with this type of album, you can swap and change photos but with the photobook this can't be done.

The photobook is very popular and has been around for 10 years at the least. The customer is always looking for something new or different and so the old school traditional photo album can now be seen in a new light. The album is also seen as retro and that has its own appeal.

I was going to ask of the OP had any luck finding what he was looking for as I haven't seen any such books since looking at my Dad's pre-war album which had both tissue type interleaves, adhesive corners and required white ink to write about what each photo was in the mid grey stiff paper paper to which the photos are attached

Anyway no point in now asking as the OP hasn't been seen for over 2 years and 3 months
