I'm looking for some old lens filters for a few lenses I have. I remember running across a website within the last year or two that was selling all kinds of (used) filters. It was obviously a one-man outfit, with a fairly primitive website. As I recall, it was mostly or maybe even only selling lens filters, not cameras, lenses or even many other accessories. I can't for the life of me figure out what it was. This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Tim at filterfind.net is a treasure. He's helped me with filters and lens shades for my Agfa Karat and other somewhat unusual cameras......I fear I may becoming a collector!

Now that the filter manufacturers have stopped making black & white contrast filters, all the filter sources have dried up except filter find. They are now my go to filter source.

A quick search on B&H shows that Tiffen, Schneider/B+W, Cokin, Leica, Lee, Nisha, Hoya, and Heliopan all have various color filters readily available. Or are you talking about more esoteric filters for B&W?

It's a personal thing but I like the older B+W filters with a wider front thread section than the newer ones. Actually I like the older coatings as well even if they are not as good. They are easier to wipe clear of cleaning fluid marks.

The more esoteric filters. Sizes that there are not much demand for them.
