Source for a Shutter speed ring for a Hasselblad 80mm C in chrome

I accidentally tried cleaning some grime from my 80mm lens and I wiped off some of the the shutter speed numbers! Does anyone know where I might find a good used replacement - it is held on by two screws so it looks like a DIY job.

I am ignorant on these lenses, but on photos seemingly aperture figures are engraved, time figures not, maybe this is depended on sample.

My approach would be to have respective numbers engraved on that ring. I then could fill them with paint myself and would be save of any rubbing off from then on.

Not an uncommon issue as the numbers are painted on. If you PM me I can help as I have most Hasselblad shutter speed and focus scales in stock.

It may be a good practice to use a small indent tool to mark full appature positions, before age or chemical interactions remove those painted quantities.

I would avoid scratching the locations untill we can be certain that doing so will no leaded to further deterioration of the finish/ring.

An indention tool, used lightly may just press the surface finish into the ring, without destroying the integrity of the thing.

Could this be a safe, sound practice?
