Source for 6.5x9 cm FP4?

Does anyone know of a source for FP4 in 6.5x9 (2.5x3.5 in) sheet film? Preferably an on-line source.
Ilford shows it as a standard size, but I've checked the usual suspects here and several European suppliers and no one admits to selling it. The closest hit I found was Foto Impex showing Adox in that size, but out of stock, and I'd prefer Ilford anyway.

Does Ilford sell direct in the UK?
For me there is simply a "Find at a local retailer" button.

I think that is a size that is only cut once a year as part of their annual ULF offering. It's done each year in the late spring, so you might have to wait

It's only available as Craig says in the annual ULF program and works out expensive. why not find a pre-WWII Rollex or Rada 6.5x9 fit 6x9 120 roll film back, Just be careful as some where 620 and there's various edge types.

The OP says it is stated as standard item. Ilford Photo once had a order-number,stock/non-stock listing. But on their new website I do not find that listing anymore.

It's interesting that the website shows it as a standard size, but it is also in the ULF list for FP4, so I guess it really isn't so standard.
Thanks all, I'll move on to my plan B (or maybe C).

is "cut it down yourself"
or
xray film
or
paper negatives ...
( or a roll film back )

I think I noticed that Photowarehouse had some recently. Might be short dated/cold stored, but they're a reliable supplier, and FP4 isn't such a fast film that it picks up a great deal of fog past date.

If 6,5 x 9 isn't avaible (hope we are talking not about inch) - 6 x 9 isn't fit to the sheed filmcassette - I see!

So 9 x 12 wouldn't help also (via cutting) - but what about 4x5 inch? IS the half of it not a bit more than the half of 9 x 12 ?
Why not tranig out and compare?Perhaps you may reach with the very exactly middle :6,125 x9,187 ????Thats (in cm would be ok to your sheed holder cassette)?If it would " reach out for the metal "of 6,5 x 9 your avability is safe the long there is speed film.

As an alternative to FP4+, Fotoimpex has Foma 100 6.5x9 cm sheet film in stock, the price is also very attractive (14 EUR for a box of 50)

I've had good luck getting Ilford FP4+ (and Foma 100) in 6.5x9 cm from Ebay and several UK dealers.

These Guys have had it, I've ordered here. They tell me they are right up the road from the Ilford plant, the Ilford trucks stop by nearly every day.

Reviving this thread due to won interest in this sheet film. Just looked up some prices/availability. It does appear Ilford only makes this format available through annual ULF, which in itself is sad enough. better yet, what retailers are asking for 25 sheets must be some sort of a joke. If they don't wish to make this reasonably, why bother, if price is similar to 4x5 size? This is not supporting anything, more like a smoke screen saying behind it: no, we don't care to slit any film into 6.5 x 9. But, if you don't want to trim large sheet yourself, here it is.

However, here is one: Adox CHS 100 II, fresh, great film.

I have a stash of 2x3 FP4 from the annual special cuts offering, and yes, it's about the same price as 4x5". We're paying extra for a custom format cut cleanly, notched, and boxed at the factory.

The alternative would be to make a jig to cut down a larger format, if the price works out. Another advantage of cutting your own is having a bigger choice of film types.

@David A. Goldfarb Thing is Adox makes it on the fly and they intend to supply it for foreseeable future, with no plans to stop offering, and the price is right, while film arguably better than FP4+.

I'm ticked off at Harman's hypocrisy. On web site they state "available", Truth is it isn't. How could it kill them to state the truth ? ... ULF program ONLY, wait for ULF and delivery to participating distributors. How that end price is affected by Harman's own pricing and how much of it is participant's method of scamming end customer is another matter. As this is made available in ULF program only, that means way ahead planning of slitting and confectioning. I fail to see how half the film can sell for so much, it makes no sense.

In the end, outside of sole fresh film from Adox, making a jig to trim other films seems the only way to go. Done right once, the size is right, notch is there, and goes right back in the box. And to boot, only as many made ready as needs call for. In a way good thing Harman massed up on this one.

I just developed 4x5 ADOX CHS 100 ii. My first impression is it’s great, and ‘fresh’ seems to be a very precise description. I did not print them yet, but it looks very promising. Everything ADOX says about the layer is spot on. Much clearer than Bergger for instance. I have kept distance from ADOX a year or so after I discovered an immense unpredictability in their fiber based paper. Since I tried the Scala 160 this year however (in Silvermax developer) I am convinced they are on the right track now. My dealer told me that somewhere in the last five years the have reset and started all over again. What they release recently in film and chemicals is really good. They stopped distributing paper, I guess and hope until they are really ready to bring out a paper that is on a par with AGFA Classic or better.
Somewhere else on this forum someone asks what would you invest in if you were very rich. I think ADOX earns our support, but it is not a loss at all to buy their films.

I've had a few direct exchanges with Adox and am quite comfortable with their level of epxertise and comittment. They are indeed working on some paper and looks like they want to make sure it s a high quality product before it is made available. Plus Fotoimpex is great place to buy from. CHS 100 II is available in 6.5x9, and as the film looks good it is probably all one needs (and currently the only choice)

I asked about FP4+ in this size because Ilford states it IS available, Turns out it is only through ULF program and cost twice as much as 4x5 sheets (about same price for both sizes 25 pcs). So I think if I want something different than CHS II I'll trim 4x5 to my needs as they present themselves. I'm not paying Ilford silly prices ... and with one chance a year to boot.

I'm very surprised to hear that because I have printed hundreds of sheets of ADOX paper in the last 6 years. It's currently not available in most sized, and I'm eagerly waiting the re-arrival of MCC from the new run after they fully ship Polywarmtone (which I will also buy). I've also shot quite a lot of Silvermax and had no quality issues at all.

i’m an Ilford retailer here in the US. Their price sheet for 6.5x9x25 shows it as a special order item. The current MSRP is $73.69 before tax and shipping. I’d have to contact Roberts (their distributor here in the US) to see if they have any on hand. Usually for these sizes, they don’t and it takes 6-8 weeks to get if they’re even willing to order it on their next order. PM me if you want to discuss further.

Well, at the outrageous price that is above 4x5 what sense does it make to even bother? It's not that hard to make a jig and trim own sheets as needed form whatever 4x5 film is available. And Adox's CHS 100 II is available off the shelf and I dare to say much better than FP4+ to boot.

I revived this thread after I got into this format and Ilford claiming as available. It would not kill them to tell the truth on the site.
