After all how long would you tolerate listening so an adult talk about his "peepee"?

Well, since we're comparing penises...

Would you have the same attitude for other equivalent words that aren't childish, but also apply to personalities, like "dick"?

focus_on_infinity, I first came across this term at Apug... I am relieved to learn that even an assummed native-speaker did not know it.

Wait until someday you come across here the term "trannies"...

I see people use that term when talking about electrical transformers, which may not be how people are using it here. I would not use that term, or very many terms ending in "ies". Now that you mention it, it does give me an impression of inexperience.

A little soup, a little sauce, as long as they make deadline.

As long as people remember that it's spaghetti sauce, and not spaghetti gravy (because it's not the drippings from a cooked animal), we'll all survive.

Because he had a hobby of tinkering with radios, in WW II the U.S. army assigned my uncle to a radio base in New Guinea. He reported to a colorful master sergeant who would use a different take on the names of electronic components like the a rectifier. He'd say, "This here's the rectum fryer, otherwise known as the ass scorcher."
