The Spanish newspaper El País publishes today an interview with the CEO of Sony, Kaz Hirai. In the interview Hirai talks about the "second life of film and vinyl": "My daughter is a photography student. She uses a digital camera at school, but she also has a film camera for her own personal use. She likes to be able to touch the film, develop it and, most of all, the fact that having 36 exposures forces her to think before shooting. Everything comes back." (My own direct translation, so bear with me...).
We can, of course, argue that what the daughter of the CEO of Sony does is anecdotal and hardly relevant for the future of film. However, it is also true that not everyday film is mentioned by the CEO of a multinational in a such a positive way.
The full interview (in Spanish) is here http://tecnologia.elpais.com/tecnologia/2016/01/07/actualidad/1452151716_371185.html
