Somewhere I can have my Microtek scanner repaired?

Hey guys. I own a finicky Microtek Artixscan 120TF that I really hope to hold on to. As far as dedicated MF film scanners go, this was a bargain.

However, it has developed one problem that I hope is simple enough to fix. It seems to be related to the power/power switch. It is incredibly difficult to turn on. I can always eventually get it on and it doesn't ever fail after that, but any time I first start it up it will either not respond to me pressing the button at all or turn on for a split second and die. It seems I can keep it on literally by holding the power button firmly forever, but why would I want to do that?

Is there any place I could send this to or bring it to (I'm in San Diego but willing to drive a bit) to get a repair done? Someplace with a particularly good reputation? I don't want this thing to die!

Thanks a lot!

If it is just the switch most any electrician repairer should do the job. A switch is a switch.

As an alternative you leave it always on and turn it off by connecting it to a plug with a switch.
