I ALWAYS wear nitrile gloves when loading/unloading sheet film holders. This is definitely a first for me. HP5 8x10. I wonder who the dirty culprit was?

Nope. Couldn't have happened during processing because as I said, I wore gloves. Also BTZS tube was used. Haven't printed it yet. It's hanging up drying still. @MattKing it's a fingerprint.
Andy,
I expect, as a former high school photo teacher, you probably can identify a fingerprint on film
It's just hard to identify what we are looking at.
Can you share a photo from a bit farther away, so we can figure out what is where?

That wouldn't have happened if you'd stuck to X-ray film . That could have been there before Harman received the polyester "film" prior to coating with emulsion. Need some forensic science here!
Ink? Some sort of chemical? Pretty darn prominent mark. Need to get Scotland Yard to search their database.
