Yes excellent but don't pay too much, have alook at Second Hand Darkroom Supplies website, then realize the sell for 2 - 3 times the usual going rate for a second hand enlarger.

Also look for Durst M600 series, preferably with a colour head, which is great for Variable Contrast papers.

My preference is a Durst M-601 I used to have one years ago, I think its the perfect machine for your use. The neg carrier has a built in mask for any size up to 6x6cm. It is also one of the best built and sturdy machines around.

No older than an M601, I still have one, my first had extremely heavy professional use and was retired for a 2nd re-build. M670's etc are newer & slightly better.

When you say watch my bid does not go to high, what sort of price are you guys thinking? I will also need to get the lens he is selling.

I have heard Durst are very good, so I think I will keep my eyes open for one.

What about a Durst M800 loads of people have said Durst Durst Durst to me, so I am wondering if there is something in this old Durst thing, having never used one before it does not matter too much I just want a quality enlarger.

Ok so last question, what sort of price do you think is reasonable, on ebay it is £325 or best offer.

Sent PM with far cheaper link.

Durst M707 colour head, dev tanks, trays, masking frame etc etc just sold for £56, my advice was bid up to £80-£100.

Yeah I read that review, I am so confused, I guess it does not matter to much.
Thank you Ian, I just sent you a PM back.

Don't jump on the first one you see, and don't get caught up in a bidding war. For £325, you should be able to get a decent 5x4 enlarger (although a Devere 504 is currently at £620 with a day to go).

Not sure why that De Vere is fetching so much, I only paid 20% more for a mint De Vere 5108 (10"x8") enlarger & 4 lenses, but condenser heads are quite rare on modern De Vere's which might be why.

Durst is the way to go Paul as parts are easily found in the UK, if I was home I'd lend you my spare M601 while you search
