Someone please rescue this 10"x10" enlarger before it is literally sold as scrap metal.

It's almost a giveaway. It wouldn't cost that much to refurbish if someone has basic shop skills and the will. Maybe less than $1000. The biggest issue would be finding or adapting a light head. A new bellows can be obtained from Custom Bellows UK. The chrome can be polished and gears can be re-lubricated. And some of the simpler neg carriers can be obtained with a bit of patience and luck. It would be a far simpler project than refurbishing a motorcycle or speedboat. These things are built to last a long long time with a little TLC. Having the space and a high enough ceiling is another question. What might turn out more expensive is the chiropractor bill if you tweak you back trying to move the thing.

I have such an enlarger and I have to enlarge using a 210mm Apo-Sironar-W as an enlarging lens, because my ceiling is too low to use a normal 300mm lens.

The big mirror box is so efficient that I can get perfectly even illumination with an Apo Nikkor 240/9 stopped down to f/16. But whenever possible, I prefer working with a 305 or 360 when full sized 8x10 is being enlarged. That's with the CLS301 colorhead, not the earlier CLS300 which could only deliver ideal illumination up to 5X7 format size.

It appears that a long time excellent source for Durst enlarger components and special fabrication, Glenn Evans at Glennview.com, is just about to finally throw in the towel and retire. So if anyone needs something from him, they should do so promptly.

As I posted, I reached out to the seller. It was the enlarger he used during a long colour printing career.
