Hi,

I am visiting New England (Nashua) and would be interested to meet some of the New England APUGers. Will there anybody be around and interested, maybe this Sunday? That would be great.

ciao

:surprised: Darn  I will be in sunny Calif visiting our daughter and my wife's family! If I weren't out there I'd definitely try to get a group together.
Hey Whitey... Suzanne... Drew... anybody available to show some NE-APUG hospitality.

I hope you have a great visit here.

:surprised: Darn  I will be in sunny DC visiting our son and girlfriend! If I weren't down there, I'd definitely try to get a group together.
Hey Whitey... Suzanne...anybody available to show some NE-APUG hospitality.

I hope you have a great visit here.

I'll be around, but I have plans during the day. Nashua is quite close by... only 25 minutes from me... what do you have in mind?
Oh well, nothing special. I just hoped to meet some APUG folks here. Be it over the day or in the evening. I am open to any suggestion. From our travel plans I see that also Sunday 23rd is open - if that is a better fit.

Thanks and ciao

I can likely get to Nashua on Sunday. Where will you be?
I am at the house of a friend. It's near exit 5 of highway 3, but I may have a car available, so we can meet wherever it is OK for you.

Regards
-- Ruediger

If you are still around on the 23 or 24 (Sat or Sun), I will be back from Calif. Maybe that weekend would be good.

Hi Ruediger
I'd love to get together. This Sunday is better for me, though the later date isn't really impossible (yet.) I've PMed SuzanneR and bdial to see if there is a good place and time to meet you.

The more, the merrier, folks. Come out of the woodwork and meet our European friend for a cup of java and some good photo talk?

I could meet for coffee in the morning, say around 9:30am. There's a Barnes and Noble that's hard to miss on Daniel Webster Highway with a cafe? OR we could meet in the old downtown Nashua, but I only know of one restaurant there that's quite pricey, but very good. Not really just for a coffee.

Or, there's a Panera kind of tucked in behind the Barnes and Noble on Spit Brook Road.. they have good coffee!

My afternoon is a little busy, but if the morning doesn't work... I could meet in the evening.

Panera might be the best bet, since they have places to hang out and tables suitable for sharing prints. I can bring a few small Polygravure prints since Suzanne has asked about them.

They also have pretty good munchies at Panera

RĂĽdiger, after recieving so many of your postcards, it will be good to meet you!

So I am looking forward to this Sunday at around 9:30 at the Panera bread on Split Brook road? Sounds good to me. I will have some images with me to share with you.

Thanks and cheers

RĂĽdiger, I hope you take notes for question time when we meet up again :D

Mick.
Hey Mick,

Ingo and I are already looking forward to meet you again this year. This time I will also remember to bring in some of my images to share with you.

ciao

9:30 at Panera it is then. It will be good to meet you Ruediger, and Barry and Whitey as well. Seeing Suzanne again will also be a pleasure. I'll find a few images to bring along too.

The address for Panera is Spit Brook, not Split Brook. Here's a map.
9:30 it is.

Hey... it was great to see you guys this morning. I couldn't quite believe that it was noon when we left! Time flies when you are looking at great photographs... Whitey's photogravures are simply gorgeous!!

Hope you have a great rest of your trip Ruediger!!

Thanks, Suzanne, but I felt distinctly second class in that gathering. What fun it is to get a look at other photographer's work over a good cup of coffee now and then! You're right in pursuing the wet plate work - lots of room for your images to thrive in that medium. And Ruediger has made me want to do litho printing..., maybe in time for a few to be in my show?

Great seeing you all. More to come, I hope. Enjoy your travels, Ruediger.

I had a grand time. Let's make it a regular thing, we could rotate venues.

Ruediger, please stay safe in all that driving, and I hope you and your family have a great time.

Hey, I also enjoyed meeting up with you all. Yes time was flying. The images you shared with me were just gorgeous. What a great experience, now I learned something about wet plate collodion (is this spelled right) and also about photogravures - well, at least I know how these look like and I know two more faces for postcards I received.

So the rain came back after that hail storm. The only thing missing now is snow

Thanks again ciao

It was great to meet you Ruediger, and when it comes to gorgeous images, don't forget your lith prints. I have a feeling sure you will find many future postcard exchange subjects in your travels.

I guess no one told you (or told us) that New England has a new 'fifth' season this year - we have apparently swapped mud season for Monsoon season

It was also very good to meet Whitey and Barry, and see Suzanne again. I'm going to have to start making these NE APUG get togethers a bit more often!
