Term 2? yeesh, I'd forgotten how early school kids go back since I was one 15 years ago. It's only week 2 at uni...

If you're intimidated by 4x5, that's ok. I bought my Cambo 4x5 a couple years ago, way before I was ready to shoot it. I've used it a little bit, taken a few shots, but it sits in the corner, pretty much unused most of the time. I just have too much to learn about 6x6 right now to worry about 4x5. I might even take sojourn into 6x9 before I get to it. If it's too much for you, as it is for me, don't worry about it. It will always be there, waiting for when you're ready. But by all means, use it when the fancy hits you. It's just too much fun to not do it at all.

Just make sure to cock & fire the shutter every now and then...

But seriously... other than loading and processing film, I just didn't find 4x5 to be a difficult addition. I understood what the movements were for (I think I got a good view camera book) and developed a strategy for handling film (E6 product shooting, so I had to put tape labels on the dark slides with bracketing info, and be sure to transfer the tapes to empty 4x5 boxes).

Too bad there's no more 4x5 polaroid... that stuff was great for playing with a view camera.

Yes, Saturday is over - I had to give it a miss, way too many people where I was (carpark of the Highway Hotel) and way to crowded to get the 4x5 out.

Ah, so that was it? I drove past there and wondered if that was the hotrod show you were talking about. Certainly looked packed from marion rd.
Still would have been able to get some good shots on the smaller formats?
