I don’t know if it was mentioned already. I did search but could not find anything.
Maybe the Kodak price increase saved Fuji Color film.
Say buy buy to 120 color negative. But 135 negative and both 135 and 120 positive/reversal film is back!!

That's nice! I do notice that it says resumption of orders. To the best of my knowledge, Fuji have never outsourced E6 film production, but we know they have done so for C41. So technically, this can still mean they're taking orders for a product they don't actually manufacture - as they have done in the recent past as well.

I really hope they bring back the 400H Pro. I really like how easy it is to invert and color-balance for blue-dominated images like maritime landscapes. Besides, Portras need some competition.

Let’s hope Kodak does not manufacture the Fuji 135 film. That will still leave them as sole monopoly…

The page you linked to very specifically mentions ordering being resumed since it was halted in Japan. They very specifically mention the Japanese market.

One possible interpretation of this press release is that they actually restarted C41 film manufacturing. Another is that it's now possible to purchase US-manufactured Fuji branded C41 film in Japan, where this might not have been possible over the past few months.

Like press releases from Japanese firms often are, this one is somewhat vague. Although I bet someone will come along in a few hours and vehemently disagree with this. Which reminds me - I'm running out of popcorn.

As has been posted earlier - "accepting orders" is not the same as "resuming manufacture".
Just as "pausing accepting orders" was not the same as "ceasing manufacture".

It would be good to have healthy competition. I have been known to use Fuji 400H Pro.

Fuji needs to stay in business and needs to raise its prices. This might bruise some egos, but they are not raising prices to gouge the usual pack of grumps.

Actually It might have been because of Kodak’s price increase.
fuji does not need film or even digital cameras decision to stay in business.
They are a very diverse company.

I taught they had supply chain issues and stopped manufacturing of both Negative and positive film.
If they are taking orders they may be starting again.
Or do you think they will sale Ektachrome in Velvia package?

But no business will manufacture a product at a loss. Perhaps Fuji raised it prices in solidarity with Kodak and Ilford.

Don't think so.

When it comes to E6 film production runs, I imagine they're very intermittent anyway, given how little of the stuff is likely being sold. I doubt any pause due to supply problems would have disrupted their normal production planning much, if at all.

Matt, yes, I suspect that it may be too early to put up the bunting. Hopefully over the next few weeks/months all will become clear in terms of exactly what the announcement does mean

Fuji's nowadays is a bit strange. They brought back Acros (through Ilford) but then discontinued... all of the CN pro films? The reasons given mostly were supply chain related, I have no quantitative data about it but at least 400H should be quite popular in general. The consumer level films continue being produced (or relabeled from Kodak) but that doesn't help us in 120 or sheets.
I about halted color photography for the last year so it has been interesting to see the price skyrocketing plus all of the production/market shocks. I just found Mirko's post about Adox Factory halting production last winter due to the energy crisis in Europe. They have resumed, as there are new products. Having said that, it'd be interesting to see and know what is behind the scenes for other manufacturers.

Reala and 800Z have been gone way way back. A very interesting event is when they brought back some Fujicolor 400 in 220. That was 2015 so too long ago.
OTOH we know (bless PE) that modifying formulas and products isn't easy, but it would be interesting to see some consolidation from Fuji.

If you become too selective with a roll of 36 exposures, you won't get the film developed until after it's been in the camera for a few months. If you become as selective as most people should be, the film will sit in the camera for ten years or more.
It's easy to waste less large format - you never need to finish a roll.
