Hi! I just bought a Rolleicord and am in the process of giving it a thorough once-over. I've already CLA'ed the shutter but am stuck on the side panel for the film advance and focusing... Does anyone know how to remove this piece? It holds the cover in place :/

Thanks in advance!

I think it unscrews. Are there two tiny holes?

Unfortunately no, that's just dust

I thought so too, but it doesn't screw off with my friction tool. Either it's just incredibly stubborn or I'm doing something wrong.

Due to the lack of holes I'm also not able to apply a large amount of force... The rubber friction tool just doesn't have enough grip.

Try a dot of double sided tape. A strong one.

Another thing to try is to take a plastic tube like a pen and shape it to grip the outer edge of the part.

I assume that the part is the inner ridged button and that it has some lateral motion, most likely downwards? Have you poured some naphtha or maybe ammonia in the outer collar to get some liquid to the base of the part? I expect it to be like the lef-timer lever on later 'Flexes- a ridged button with a tube going down which is threaded on the end. The down tune is less than 2mm in diameter. The threadeds go into a flat lever. In this case, pulling it down resets the counter, yes?

Yep, it has a very similar action. I will give your ideas a try tomorrow, thanks for the help!
