Trying to fund some new gear and all I will be shooting for the foreseeable future is 35mm, so thought I list this here to help raise some funds. Maybe get it to someone who will give it some use. I have a Soligor Spot Sensor II with case for sale. It has seen some use, but is still in good condition and nicely accurate. Asking $75 shipped in the US.

I have waited until the seller and a buyer concluded the deal as what I have to say might have been seen as interfering in the possible transaction but if the seller is asking what in the U.S. is considered a reasonable price then U.S. APUGer sellers might want to consider offering articles to non U.S. APUG buyers if this is at all possible.

At current exchange rates the Soligor sold for about £50. In the U.K. this would be a steal! I would expect a Soligor in good condition to fetch nearly double this over here on e-bay.

So U.S. sellers might find that they can extend their potential market to their advantage to their U.K. friends. Might not be true of everything and possibly less true of bulky items but worth thinking about.

Hi pentaxuser,

I suppose part of it is my fault for not clarifying. I was by no means limiting sales to US people only. The reason why I quote prices like this is from a few bad experiences from people trying to nickel and dime me in the past. I don't have a mailing scale to accurately measure shipping weight, so when I quote I always have rounded up to the next pound. A handful of times has lead to my quotes being a dollar over, at most. I had one person on Ebay threatening to leave me negative feedback saying that I was scamming on shipping and all sorts of other BS. Because of all of this I have found it best just to quote a total with US shipping as that's who usually ends up buying. For future sales I will remember to add a caveat for international to contact me for shipping.

Aaron, It always frustrating dealing with unreasonable people but if someone gets an item for about 50-60% of what they would pay for a similar item in the U.K. then that person has to be unreasonably unreasonable to complain over the equivalent of a few dollars carriage cost. I cannot guarantee that no-one on U.K. e-bay would be that unreasonable but on APUG it is very unlikely.

For info there is a Soligor spotmeter on the U.K e-bay right now with a buy it now price of £110 which I'd say he has every chance of getting. So about $160. I'll bet you could ship to the U.K. for a bit less than the difference between this price and $75 you charged :D:

I'm sure I probably could have gotten more, and yes I could use the money, but I have gotten some good deals here on APUG and was just hoping for a quick sale and to get back what I paid for it, which I did. Guess next time though I'll have to remember to ask double whatever I'm hoping to get ...LOL j/k

Happy shooting everyone
