I got a deal on this recently and it's fun to shoot, but it's not going to be my style, I think.
This camera is in good shape. The shutter works great and seems accurate at all speeds. Self-timer functions, viewfinder has some specks but is very bright. Advancing the film feels smooth and well-lubricated.
The meter is off by several stops but functions well when the film speed is compensated appropriately. The window for the meter needle in the viewfinder is very bright and clear.
The lens has clearly been cleaned by an amateur but does not have any deep scratches, and the view through it is sharp. There are no "Contax bumps" in the leatherette, though there are two different places where someone stuck or taped something to the back leatherette--I removed an adhesive plastic film reminder holder when I bought it. Flash sync untested.
It's definitely compatible, right? There were a couple different bayonets, including very subtle changes. This one is compatible with the Rapid and the Contaflex III and a couple others.
It's also compatible with the original magazine backs...

This lens should fit the Contaflex III, IV, Super, Super B, Super BC.
It will NOT fit the Contaflex Alpha, Beta or Prima issued with the less expensive Pantar lens.
Glass has some minor coating imperfections in the center of the front element. It looks like a previous owner may have put it face down without a lens cap on. Also there may be a small nick in an unused corner next to the retaining ring probably caused by a cleaning attempt. Neither should affect pictures (unless you get all artistic with flare).
