Time to move away from 35mm rangefinder cameras and focus on a couple of 6x9 medium format rangefinders. So I am offering...
A Voigtlander Bessa II equipped with a beautiful, coated, 105mm f3.5 Color Heliar set in a Compur-Rapid shutter with speeds from B to 1/400 and a coupled rangefinder. There are no accessories with this camera. I don’t even think I have any filters for this lens. With the Color Heliar lens this is a terrific portrait camera although it also is a fine landscape camera as well.
This camera was purchased from Certo6 several years ago and is in very good condition. The chrome is in good condition as is the leather with a couple of minor scratches in the black painted metal trim. I didn’t shine things up too much so a couple of the pictures show wear on the leather that doesn’t exist.
The front standard pops out quickly when the button is pressed. When pulled out all the way out the struts lock solidly into place. The struts and mechanical parts are straight and look good. There is no evidence that they are bent or out of alignment
The lens is clear with no visible scratches or fogging. There is no oil on the aperture blades. The bellows are in good shape and there are no light leaks. The rangefinder is very smooth and accurate.
The shutter works well and is very consistent at all speeds but all the speeds from 1/5 second and faster are slow. Since this camera has not been used frequently I suspect that regular use would help bring the speeds back closer to normal.
I am asking $600 USD for this camera. I accept Paypal or USPS Money Orders. I only sell and ship within the continental United States. Shipping and Paypal fees are included in the price. I ship USPS Priority Mail.
Enjoy the pictures and thanks for looking.
