two lightweight Jpanese wooden 5x7 cameras in new condition. They appear to have never been used. There are no marks on the tripod plate, and the hardware is bright and unblemished. The nameplates on the cameras say they were made by the Funabashi Camera Manufacturing Company of Osaka. The company no longer exists.
The cameras have the usual movements - front tilt, rise and fall, rear tilt and swing. The bellows extends from 75mm to 375mm. The camera takes Linhof Technika lens boards. The bail back is a nice addition. The focusing screens are clear and bright. The cameras are painted in the battleship gray common during the first half of the 20th century. The camera weighs only 1.6 kilos, less than many 4x5 field cameras!
