Rolleiflex 3.5e with 75mm Zeiss Planar taking lens. The serial number (1755816) indicates it was made around 1956.

I bought this camera about five years ago from Koh's Camera in New York, where it had been serviced prior to purchase. Optics are good with usual dust but no damage or scratches. Shutter and film advance work as they should. The light meter on this camera is non-functional, as so many are.

As shown in the photos there is typical wear, but it's pretty clean overall. There is a dent on the rear right-hand edge of the viewfinder hood. I've tried to show it as best I can in the photos, but it does't jump out at you unless you're looking for it.

The camera comes with a Rollei ever-ready case in usable condition and chrome lens covers.

In sum, this is a good user camera. Not mint, but definitely not a beater either.

Asking $450 + shipping.

That’s a great deal for a wonderful Rolleiflex. Enjoy!

If you are really lucky, maybe you can revive it. Take the light meter unit out (the needle assembly in the focus knob). It looks like one of the screws is missing. Clean the contacts with an eraser and reinstall the meter. Maybe it will work again.

I actually have a working light meter for a 3.5, so I'll just swap it out.

@Kino I just sent you a PM response.

Regarding the meter, unfortunately it's dead dead, not needs-cleaning dead :-(

I understand. I have another meter that can replace it.

Responded to your message.

This is an E, so it's non-coupled. Assuming you have the right meter and a small screw driver it's easy to replace. The meters seem to be as rare as hens teeth though. I never did find a replacement for the one on this camera, obviously. It was not for lack of looking.

Now I am unsure what I have! I will find out tonight, but I am unconcerned if I made a bad assumption! I'll be glad to have a fully functioning Rolleiflex TLR!

EDIT: just checked my Iphone and found a pix.
Rolleiflex 3.5 Ef (K4C)
My serial number is is only 12 higher than the one you are selling me! So I guess I am getting an "older" camera... heh...
