CAMERA HAS SOLD.
For sale, a fantastic Rolleiflex 2.8c TLR camera in near mint condition, S/N 1433XXX, produced ca. 1954 with desirable 10-bladed aperture. CLA’d by Harry Fleenor of Oceanside Camera Repair in April 2017 (service sticker present - see pictures) and runs beautifully. Camera has no dents, dings or scratches that I can detect other than around the tripod mount, it’s a real time capsule. I’ve closely examined both the taking and viewing lens and they appear to be flawless, save for a couple of very tiny dust particles. No “cleaning marks,” coating issues or other nonsense. Beattie Intenscreen bright screen with split image micro prism installed during the CLA and makes a huge difference. Shutter speeds are spot on. This camera was clearly a prized possession and seldom used.
Strap hangers have been replaced with factory original 2.8f ones that accept an alligator clip shoulder strap; the original hangers with screws are included as is the correct instruction manual, original focusing screen and great condition mirror lens cap. You will notice an old sticker on rear door - I left this because it's part of the camera's history, it’s in Arabic! The only operating issue is the self timer does not seem to set properly, but this is a non-issue for me. Only reason I’m selling is I’ve settled on the Mamiya 7 system, so this camera is now redundant.
Asking $1295. When you consider the unusually fine condition, the CLA and the bright screen, it’s quite the deal when you consider the CLA work and screen installation. I’ll cover insured shipping (CONUS), you cover any PayPal fees. I also have a number of Bay III accessories including a excellent condition shade, like new leather strap with OEM alligator clips, UV and medium yellow filters and a mint Rolleinar I, all which I will hold on to to make available to the camera buyer. Please PM me with any questions you may have and thanks for your interest.
