For your consideration: a Pentax Spotmatic w/55mm f/1.8 Super-Multi-Coated Takumar lens in excellent condition, and a fully-operative/clean Nikon FG (if you want a lens for the FG, how about a 50mm f/1.8 for an additional $10?)

I bought the Spotmatic years ago to give it a try, because everyone needs to try a Spotmatic some day, but I don’t get along well with the micro-prism focusing screen. Shutter speeds sound good, and the meter is responsive — I have a NOS Varta 400 PX 1.35V mercury battery that I opened and stuck in, and the meter came to life! I’ll include the battery with the camera. There is one issue, but not a huge one: for whatever reason, Pentax designed the Spotmatic metering system to be turned on manually by pushing up on a sliding square “button”on the side of the mirror box, and at time of exposure the up-swinging mirror hits a little nub inside the mirror box which releases the spring-loaded button to return to its initial “meter off” position. In this camera I have for sale, the mirror swings up and hits the nub but the nub resists enough that the mirror cannot swing all the way up — not good. The simple solution is that after pushing up on the button to meter, you simply push the button back down again prior to exposure. You could try exercising the button/nub/mirror over and over again to loosen up the nub’s action, or perhaps a tiny bit of lube or solvent on the nub would make it retract properly, but that’s for the buyer to try out. So for this beautiful camera and lens (snappy aperture blades) with battery and case, I’m asking $30 for the camera (w/filter and lens cap and case and strap) plus postage to your location from US zip code 22033.

The Nikon FG is in fine condition, fully operative, ready to go with body cap for $25 plus postage. Note it has the added original finger grip. I’m selling it because I have another FG, and a bunch of other Nikon bodies — to much stuff! Read up on the FG; it’s a very capable camera! If you want a lens with it, I have a good condition Nikon 50mm f/1.8 AI-S lens I’ll include for an extra $10

Any questions, let me know.

That's a steal for the FG + lens. GLWS.
