For sale: vintage Konica Autoreflex TC with Hexanon AR 50mm 1.7, $60 plus shipping.

This is from the estate of a friend, the original owner, who used it little and non-professionally. It looks to be in very good condition except that the leatherette is shrinking and starting to peel, priced accordingly.

Otherwise, good working and cosmetic condition. From a non-smoking environment.

I have not shot with this myself, but the shutter mechanism appears to work as intended. This is an all mechanical shutter which requires no batteries to operate.

The meter does require batteries, and this camera appears to have the original 625 mercury button batteries still installed. According to this review article you can use 675 hearing aid batteries without spacers or adjustments: http://mattsclassiccameras.com/slr/konica-autoreflex-tc/

The lens is flawless- no fungus, scratches, etc. and reputed to be very fine optically. The exterior of the barrel has a little dirt. Evidently this was always shot with a skylight filter on it, removed for the photos but included in the sale.

Here’s another review, this one from 2018: https://casualphotophile.com/2018/08/10/konica-autoreflex-tc-hexanon-40mm-lens/

Includes strap and original paper owner’s manual. Shipping will be for about 2 pounds from 47150.

I will consider selling the camera without the lens, but I will not sell the lens separately.

Thanks,
Keith

These are very underrated cameras - and you're right to say the Hexanon lenses are excellent. I've got a small collection, are they ARE.

This Konica is still for sale! I had one possible buyer who has disappeared, so this nice camera is still for sale.

If I had not just purchased a Konica Autoreflex T4 with that same lens (for the same price), I would be buying this one. So far, I am really enjoying using the camera - and also using the excellent! lens on my Fuji digital camera via $20 adapter. I did not expect to see color rendition that is equal to (or better) than my Fuji lenses, which are very good! I bought my T4 on the assumption that the lens, alone is worth the price, and that is proving to be true.

I agree on the underrated-ness of these cameras. They are excellent and the lenses are some of the best ever made, but they don't have the reputation of some far less worthy cameras, such as the K1000. Because of that, they don't sell for much. You may want to search eBay to get a more accurate view of the market price for this camera.

Thanks for the several nice comments on this camera/lens!

The original prospective buyer has finally surfaced and now the camera is SOLD.
