I’m making space in my darkroom and will be listing a number of items for sale.
This is a Horseman 6x9 to 4x5 increasing / expanding universal ground glass with Graflok back. This is a pretty cool item that allows you to turn any compatible 6x9 camera into a 4x5. I have used this with multiple Horseman cameras (980, VH, VHR) as well as a Linhoff Technikardan 23S.
Condition is good and everything works well. The locking knob tightens securely. The focus knob is geared and meshes well and smooth. Bellows are in good condition, snappy, and without pinholes. I’d say cosmetics are probably a 7.5 out of 10. Ready to be used.
Another interesting use for this would be turning a 6x9 camera into a 4x5 enlarger whereby you attach the back to the camera, mount it vertical, and use a 4x5 Graflex Graflarger or similar mountable light source (I will be listing a Graflarger as well). It can work well as long as you ensure that your chosen camera and vertical rigging can support the extra weight of the back and the Graflarger attachment. Something like that could work well for someone with very limited space who wants to double-purpose their camera.
