For sale is a very light and compact Horseman 45HD 4x5 camera in excellent condition. This camera is not seen very often. The HD in the name stands for Heavy Duty. The metal body is covered in a tough, hard rubber, so you can just toss it into a backpack. It measures 172 x 157 x 94 mm (excluding the protruding parts) and weighs only 1.7 kilos.
The bellows is light-tight and supple. All movements are smooth and the locks are firm. The bellows extends to 249mm. The ground glass is clear and bright. The Graflock back is reversible and can be turned from portrait to horizontal easily. There are some cosmetic marks on the metal parts. There is a small crack in the rubber covering at the bottom that has been re-glued. There is no focusing hood, but a balloon type focusing hood is available as an optional extra. One Copal 0 lens board is included with the camera. Extra Copal 0 and 1 regular and #1 top hat boards are available.
