Beautiful rendition and smoothness, great lens, great look. Biotar formula.
A bit long in the tooth, but glass is clean and clear, front and back. Very nice multi-coating.
Some very minor and almost imperceptible scratches on the glass that add up to exactly nothing. No effect on image quality.
13-blade aperture turns smoothly.
This lens was definitely not made on a Friday or a Monday

Markings indicate this was made at the KMZ factory (Krasnogorsk), a well-regarded factory that saw its greatest successes in the 50s and 60s.

I'm tempted to keep this lens, I like it a lot, but I already have a similar lens in the same focal range.
Works well on the GFX, if that's your thing, and Camera RAW has a lens profile for it as well.

Includes front and rear caps and M39-M42 adapter.
Without the adapter, the lens uses M39 mount.

$120.00 USD includes shipping to US and Canada.

Not sold, exactly.

The buyer has told me that the lens, which is an M39 thread (or M42 with the included adapter) does not work with his Leica Screw Mount camera.
Apparently it doesn't engage the focus cam, so the lens won't work for him.

I apologize as I didn't know this would be an issue. I used the Helios on my GFX camera with an M42 adapter, and it was a brilliant match.

Lens is re-listed at $90.00 including US shipping.
Lens now ships from California.

Thank you

I'm not an L39 expert at all, but I seem to recall the Zorki and/or Fed had a different focus cam setup from an actual thread mount Leica.

I don't have a Russian ltm cam to check that out.

Some of the early Soviet SLR lenses used m39 threads. In some cases, they would make rangefinder and SLR versions of the same lens both with m39 mounts.
