This lens in the Fdn mount, also called the new Fd mount or, a bit erroneously, the “bayonet” mount. It takes 72 mm filters and is a two touch lens with a macro setting. (It should not be confused with the f3.5-4.5 version which is a two-touch zoom, takes 58 mm filters, and is considered to be of lesser quality.)

This 35-105 is highly regarded as a well made, sharp, versatile lens, and one of Canon’s best zoom lenses. It is in VG-EX cosmetic condition and fully functional mechanically. The glass is clean with no haze, fungus, dust, or scratches. The aperture blades are clean and move smoothly. F-stops are crisp and the focus is smooth. The macro function works as it should. There is no “rattle” which would indicate a worn zoom mechanism. The lens comes equipped with a 72 mm Tiffen haze filter, a Canon BW-72B hood, and the original caps. As shown in the photos, the hood has three pieces of black photo tape on the lugs to provide some added friction as the lugs were a bit worn. The price is $135.00 plus postage.

I also have three, 72 mm filters for sale. They are: Hoya yellow (Y K2), Hoya orange (O (G)), and Hoya red R (25A)). All are in excellent condition with no marks or scratches. They would be hard to tell from new. All are in cases, but the brand of case may not match that of the filter. I wish to sell these as a lot.

Price for the lot of three is $65.00 plus postage.

If you purchase both the lens and 3 filters, I will pay the postage.

I accept paypal, a USPS money order, or a bank check. I will ship from zip code 02769. CONUS shipping only.

Canon also made an "entry level" 35-105 f4.5 to 5.6 which was fairly inexpensive.

This sucker was the "pro grade," version, is a constant f3.5 aperture, and it cost a whole pile of money when new.

I have the same lens without the macro facility, I can't think of a more useful walk around lens.

I'm wrong again, I just got my FD 35-105 f3.5 zoom out again, I bought it last February and haven't used it for almost a year because of the COVID lockdown, it indeed has the macro facility.
