SOLD! Apo-Nikkor 890mm f/11 Lens in NOS condition. I believe this lens has never been used, or even mounted. The holes in the flange show no signs of screws having been inserted. The original screws are still in their plastic bag and appear unused. The glass and body are in immaculate condition. The metal caps and the inspection certificate are included. The box is frayed.

This is a dialyite type process lens, and has an image circle of around 680mm at infinity, making it a great lens for ultra-large format cameras. The glass elements have a diameter of about 80mm, and it may be possible to use a Sinar shutter. The lens weighs 3.5 kilos, and the flange is almost 200mm in diameter. You can't simply slap it on a lightweight wooden field camera. However, if you own a metal monorail 8x10 camera, I can help you figure out how to use it even on 4x5.

That's a nice looking lens at a good price. If I were in the market I'd jump on it but I already have the 610 and 760 both mounted in shutters. How would you mount the 890 on a lens board? The Toyo boards are 158mm square - too small for a 200mm retaining ring to fit.

You would need to make an extension box. It would also help to turn the front standard around, so that the depth of the box is minimized. The diameter of the front and rear lens elements is only about 80mm, so there will be no vignetting.
