Dang, I keep digging up stuff. I would never have bought this lead pipe of a lens willingly, it must have come as part of a package deal with an anvil. Or anchor. Or Oldsmobile Regency 98 (tan with vinyl roof).

The good:
It is a lens
It's made by Nikon.
No issues that I can see optically or not much cosmetically.

The bad:
This thing has so much zoom creep it could belong to Matt Gaetz.
But I guess all/most of these trombone lenses would have zoom creep by now?

The awesome:
If you are caught in a snow bank and need something heavy to weight down the back of your car, use this.

$20 + $15.50 USPS Priority medium box flat rate.

PEACE!

$20 for this lithe little number? No interest?

Hmm, maybe I should have marketed it like Lomo - "glass lens"!

Ha!

For once, I have one of these. I use it as a door stop and for shooting airshows. It's 80 or 200. The middle means nothing.

This looks like the the first version w/ 15 elements. The reviews on your lens are exceptionally good! It's said to be the first zoom that could come close to prime lenses, and is supposed to be sharp w/ nice bokeh wide open. The samples I've seen are really nice.

How are your results? When you use it as a lens, not a door stop?

I've used it with my F3. I don't have the results on hand but it's a good lens.

I stopped using it as a door stop after the door picked up damage.

15 elements? It feels like there are at least 30 in there.
