SOLD! I built up one of these last year too. I can make these up whenever the various and sundry parts happen to find me. The idea is instead of spending several thousand dollars on an 8X10 and Pinkham & Smith, Petzvals, Heliars, Cookes, you just buy this little guy and it's a tool in your wider tool kit. Feel like some artistic soft focus, grab this little guy. It'll cost you less than a quarter of any of the lenses I spammed with above and it absolutely gets the job DONE. The lens is made up of "found" components. An Ilex 135 5.4 shutter with the Ilex glass trashed and replaced with this no name antique achromatic meniscus doublet. Same as the Kodak Portrait lenses of the '50's but not $800 for just the lens alone. Stopped down it's quite sharp. Wide open it's got buzz buzz buzz like a hive of bees. It's just stuff cobbled together. The camera is a turd. Don't buy it from me like the last guy and then tell me it's a turd. I told you first. Nothing special. But you'll have so much fun with it you'll throw rocks at your Chamonix. (or whatever the latest must have trendy camera is these days)

$265 includes shipping in the USA. Tripod is not part of the sale. Graflok back. New Ground Glass made by ME. Aperture on the shutter is true for the lens! But I added the f4. Only one, so start having some fun for a change. Photography is supposed to be FUN More images made with the camera are available on request. Jim Galli
