Sodium Metaborate substute

Anybody know of a substute for Sodium Metaborate when making TF-3 fixer? Or where I can get some on a Saturday at 6:30pm in Brooklyn NY?

In a pinch use Boraxo from your grocery store. Don't do it unless it is an emergency.

Check the pH with pH paper or a meter.

Also, for fixer it's not critical anyway. For developer one would have to be accurate.

Well, the pH of TF-3, 4 and 5 is critical in some ways.
