I've got a formula for a B/W film developer that calls for "sodium carbonite". The only references I can find state that (A) it can't actually exist, chemically speaking, and (B) it was used to freeze Han Solo in Star Wars.

Given that this is an M/Q developer, am I possibly safe in thinking that he author meant to say sodium carbonate?

I think the author, or whoever proof read the thing, made a boo-boo.

But then would it not have been spelled cawbanite?
