Size 124. Spool looks like 620 with a pituitary tumor -- flat metal end flanges, narrow spindle (though with this level of magnification, the core has a wood dowel for about 2/3 of its length, on original film). Kodak sold a number of folding cameras to use this size.

I think it was four inches wide, six frames on a roll (so about the same length as 120; you could hack a Paterson reel and core). but there was also five inch unbacked long-roll film made for surveillance cameras. Most would have been aerographic emulsions, with "funky" spectral sensitivity, but a little filter will fix that.

I know this is digressing, but since we are talking about Fuji... they used to make a fantastic AF instant camera - the Instax 500AF - which gave sharp, clear, FOCUSED pictures!
Dumped that an introduced their current miserable range of instax offerings.

I find Arista quite lovely.

Arista 100 pushed to 400. Only because I only realized it wasn't 400 when I took it out of the camera! And so compensated in developing.

While we may have cheaper film, you have much cheaper health care. So the money you save on that more than makes up for a couple o bux on film costs!!!

I already have enough film to last quite a long time.

So If I won the lottery I would do exactly as I am doing now but tell my wife to retire early and we would leave the U.S. never to return . One can dream, right?

What are your health insurance premiums? Did you know prescription drugs are 2-3 times as much in the US?

You gotta look at your big picture for your expenses. Believe you me, you got it good if your problem is a roll of film is more expensive!

I'm not complaining about the more important things.
But I grew up in a world where our photographic prices were at least competitive, if not better than the prices in the USA, particularly for Kodak products, so the change is frustrating.

Cinestill is selling Double-X in 120 now. Same like their remjet-free Visions3 stocks, they apparently have enough capital to get Kodak to do a custom cut. Not cheap, but it's the real deal.

Yep, international shipping sucks in a big way. I wonder if Cinestill could be convinced to distribute through Fotoimpex? Their films are sold here through Freestyle and B&H, after all, not just direct from their web site.

Very sensible -- that's about what it costs here and you have only your EU-local shipping to pay. Enjoy! I need to order a few rolls of this, too, when I can spare the money (though for 35mm I'm focusing on 3D printing a bulk loader that will take 400' rolls, so I can buy cine rolls to get a better price).

The ilford LF special order program usually has FP4+ in 5" x 50ft rolls. I want Delta in 5x12.

Great idea. Ideally, an economical round shutter in 00, 0, and 1 sizes at least, and as a bonus, a replacement for Copal Square that could be built in 13x17, 18x24, 24x36, and (at least) 6x4.5 frames sizes.
