You win a mega Powerball, you decide to have Kodak make one master roll of a B&W film not in production. Money is no object. Do you want:

Super XX in sheet film
Plus X in sheet film
Panatomic X in sheet film and roll film
Super Speed Ortho Portrait
Panatomic X in 35mm
Plus X in 35mm
Infrared

Or how about a paper?

I'd have them make the heirloom recipe for 1940s tri x ortho 400 or just plain ortho film no point in them ever making anything else, modern films are too clean.

I would take Kodak private. Resurrect the processing division. No new film. But hire people like the people who ran the labs in the hey days of Eastman Kodak. The rub would be the Alaris mess. I'm sure if the jackpot was enough something could be worked out. Probably need Fujifilm paper and chemistry to insure supply chain and quality concerns.

That is where all the Eastman Kodak and Kodak International marketing and distribution people and systems are, so that is most of what you would need to buy.

I would have a run of 3 1/4 by 4 1/4 TMAX 400 made. I would then sell what I didn't need to anyone
who needs some at a reasonable price.

I would also see about getting some 120 Panatomic-X made. TMAX 100 might be a technically
better film, but I loved Panatomic-X and prefer it.

I really liked Glossy Polyfiber paper and its successor PolyMax Fine Art, so I would probably try
to hsave some of that made up as well.

Something they could feasibly do without sourcing unobtanium chemicals or poisoning the environment.

Plus-X in 35mm, 120 and super 8. I'd happily fund a run of those.

Do I have to say it? Kodak HIE - no other infrared film comes close, and what's left of my limited stock is horribly fogged.

I'd bet as little as $50 million would pay for the R&D for Ilford to make XP-2 Super in sheet formats -- most versatile film on Earth, but I can't buy it in 4x5.

I'm too young for most of those films except PlusX and I never really cared for it. I'd have Fuji bring back Astia in all formats. Still have 60 rolls or so in the freezer! That's been the most disappointing discontinuation of film to me, though the 400H, Neopans and pack films were also disappointing. Now that I think of it, pretty much everything that Fuji has discontinued was something I liked, thus disappointing.

No clue what mega powerball is but if I win Lotto Max up here (tax free), I'd pay Kodak to bring back HIE in one master roll, cut it into 8x10 sheets, and store it in my brand new, walk in freezer, retire, and spend my days shooting it
