So tell me about Kodak's darkroom paper selection.

I'm new to printing color in the darkroom and I wanted to keep cost down so I bought my paper in rolls. I have a 5" wide roll and a 8" wide roll; both in paper cassettes for dispensing.

So far I've only use Fuji Crystal Archive paper but was wondering if there is a Kodak paper that everyone likes that won't break the bank. The Fuji paper is (to me) really inexpensive.

What's a good Kodak printing paper that comes in rolls that isn't on the expensive side?

Have you heard about Kodak Royale Paper before ?
It was not bad in the last.

But I would suppose that is not very easy
to get it in rolls.

If you mean big rolls to big enlargements.

And the prices? I am not wondering since some years that bw paper is more
expensive than color (in small rolls)

Bit I am quite shure that you get big rolls
for enlagements in the near of 1m from
Fuji.

May be KODAk ends at 60cm with their
"Royale"

You have also the oppinion to KODAk Endura I am not so sure what about
Endura rolls : 3-5 years ago it was not
a problem to get lots of rolls from different paper.

But the best chance in most formats of
rolls you will have with Fuji.

And the cristal archive is cheap - of
cause but I would not say therefore it
is a bad product.

For special infos perhaps ask others because I am not so familliar wir RA4.

But I was interested in bw rolls and was
also investigated in ra4 paper (only big
rolls).

Kodak endura premier is a very good professional quality paper. It comes in rolls and it's not too expensive. It comes in different flavours, I like the glossy one best. It also keeps very well.

The Endura paper is a heavier stock than Crystal Archive. I use the Fuji CA because it's available in cut sheets. I would buy the Kodak products if I didn't have to fiddle with the rolls.
