I wondered why they would have two different items with the same model # - DOH!

John,

Seems to me that 'C1' and 'C2' are in fact different part numbers?

Hi John

I know this is a bit late, but something you might want to check out is the Photographic Historical Society of Canada is having an auction tomorrow.

There's no guaranty that there will be an 8X10 there, but I’ve seen many in the past. Last fall they had an auction where I got a Deardorff V8 with an 8X10 back, 4X5 reducing back and a 19” Artar for $850 CDN. The Artar wasn’t pristine; the coating had a couple of marks. The Deardorff was in great shape. At past auctions I’ve saw a Calumet with a lens go unsold for $900 CDN. They’re spring fare is a good place to find some bargains as well. I sold my first 8X10 there. A B&J, not mint by any means but useable for $275 CDN. Good luck in your search.

This unit, from the same site is pretty close?? One of these in decent working condition should be worth a couple of hundred dollars?

Agfa Universal View Camera

cheers

That's just the older version of the camera I posted the two links for. That version lacks front tilt. I'd personally hold out for one of the newer models with tilt. It's not like they sell for much more money.

The last bunch have all seemed to sell for between $250 and $260 US. A few months back they seemed more expensive. So who knows about next month. The one I bought was $305 Canadian including two film holders. Plus I got the late model.
