The lens thread of the Supermatic No2, that is. I have a Kodak 8in. f7.7 Copying Ektanon in barrel that I really enjoy using on a Speed, and I want to be able to use it on other cameras. Engraved in the rear of the lens is 205.5 and the Apugger who sold it to me on the 'bay suggested that it was awfully similar to his 203 Ektar. I think he's right, but I haven't been able to get a shutter that will fit it. I have a Supermatic, but it is a larger one, unmarked as 2 or 3 or... It does not fit any of the standard copal, compur size shutters nor will it fit any of the old shutters I have from Kodak folders.

I've searched the threads here and other places and I got the Kodak handbooks for the era. They tell me all sorts of wonderful things about the lenses and the supermatic shutters - but not the thread size. I fear that this may be a special mount, unable to be used in a shutter without spending far more than I have, but before I give up, I wanted to try a Supermatic No2. Only trouble is I'd have to buy one - probably to find out that that too was unsuitable.

The thread size on each element is 37mm and the spacing from end to end of the mount that they are currently in is 21mm

Any joy?

No luck, no joy.

The depth is right but the thread diameter is only 31.5mm / 1-1/4in. I had one of the 8in/7.7 Ektanons once, nice lens. I don't think it is worth trying to get the glass out and having the cells turned down to fit.

Sorry.
