Benefit Auction: Rainbow Hawkeye No. 2, Part Deux
As everyone knows, you just can't take your black No. 2 Hawkeye out to shoot these days without running into some yahoo sporting precisely the same camera. This can be positively deflating, especially if you are with your SO. Fortunately there is a quick fix: the golden red Rainbow Hawkeye No. 2 Model C presented here.
It takes genuine 120 film and makes 6x9 negs to boot. Shutter is right on and bulb is working perfectly. But best of all it is not black, so everyone will immediately recognize that you are a serious artist! Just add your favorite 120 and go.
Ready to buy yet? Don't answer! Because 100% of the price, including shipping, will go to a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit community radio station, WCUW broadcasting at 91.3 FM in Worcester, MA and streaming on the WWW at http://wcuw.org/.
Let's run this as a benefit auction. Here are the rules. We will leave the camera up for sale until midnight tonight, Aug 1st, Eastern US time. If you are interested in it just post a response with your 'bid'. Opening bid is $1 just to keep it interesting. Minimum advance is $1. Bids must be time stamped by midnight or earlier. (I think midnight in this case is technically 12:00AM on Aug 2, but remember, the bidding ends tonight.) Good luck! Just post if any questions. Actual shipping costs will be in addition to the hammer price, but they will be modest of course since this is a relative lightweight.
