I'm trying to buy a 045-N2 but I'm not sure where to buy it from
Hugo on
http://www.chamonixviewcamera.com/
says that the eBay seller is not an authorized dealer
and the eBay seller
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chamonix-045N-2-camera-/172429513853?hash=item282599947d:g:CIoAAOSw44BYKFrJ
says that he's an authorized seller and adds a photo of a contract written in chinese as proof....
So obviously I'm confused. Hugo wants me to deposit money directly into his bank account which is a no go, so the eBay option is more secure for now.
But how can the eBay store carry Chamonix and Hugo says they're not authorized ? is there 2 versions of the Chamonix cameras ? is one of them a fake ?

thanks

I've never bought any Chamonix camera, but what I can tell you is that Hugo's name is the only name I've ever heard when buying Chamonix cameras. I'm not saying the eBay dealer isn't legit, but...heck...Google translate and I could produce a valid looking document, too! Just sayin....

Hugo, takes PayPal which makes your money just as safe as any other bank transfer service. I just bought mine thru Hugo because of the service in case it ever needs any. Plus the ebay dealers are a little more expensive.

hugo is the man... bought a new chamonix 10x8, lens boards and holders from hugo seven or so years ago. sent a check to his CA address and received the camera shortly thereafter. no issues whatsoever.

I just got an 11x14 through Hugo -- put the money straight into his business account. That is, I went to a branch of his bank and had my check deposited into his account.

Everything went as smooth as could be. beautiful camera!

Yep. Your $$$$ is safer in Hugo's bank account than your own. Absolutely stand up guy.
