Hey gang, I need some non-photo advice about sling style bags.
My dad has recently begun carrying medical oxygen 24/7 rather than using it only at night. But the bag that's for carrying the bottles is hand held.
Well, we have an honest to goodness farm operation going on, and he needs both hands as well as the ability to get in and put of a vehicle readily.
Sticking the tank in a back pack will get it out of his hands, but taking a back lack on and off to get in a car or truck 10 or 15 times in the morning rounds isn't really feasible. Plus you get the plastic tubes all tangled.
I keep looking at the sling bags thinking to myself he could simply turn the bag from his back to his side to get in the car, then push it back to his back when he gets out so his hands are free to do things.
He doesn't really need to get anything in and put of the bag like it was a real camera bag, but he does need to be able to keep it out of his way when walking around as well as get it away from his back so he can sit and drive to the next stop.
I know this isn't quite the design objectives of the bag, but can anyone who used one tell me if this sounds feasible?
Thanks due any advice.
Michael
