I have come across a problem in the last bunch of film that I shot. I usually rate Bergger BPF 200 at 64 and for some reason my meter inadvertantly got shoved over to the 6400 number. I know that you all know how to "push" film but I don't know the first thing about it. So, anyway, I figured that since I was developing by inspection that I would be able to handle this... I mixed up a fresh batch of developer and since I admire both Michael Smith and Ansel Adams work I figured I wouldn't go too far wrong by mixing a up some HC110 and ABC pyro and combining them. The problem that occurred was that it was late and I spilled my coffee into the darn developer. A nice touch, but I figured that I need to account for the extra volume of water added via the coffee. So I added some more of A and then a little B...or maybe it was the HC 110 dilution B....

Now when I turned on the light, my film went black...what happened?

Donald,

We all know you to be quite the old pro at these things, so this mishap seems like the kind of thing that could ONLY have happened on one day of the whole year.

How foolish of you, on this of all days.
