I developed a roll of Neopan 400 in Rodinal and somewhat controversially  i took it out of the tank to do its final wash.

So i swirled it around in the water and i noticed a slight blue/green tinge to the water, the negs look fine and it was gone after the next wash it just confused me slightly.

is there any reason for this and will it affect anything in the future? this is my first time using neopan (it was £3 cheaper than hp5 in my local shop  so im not sure if this is normal.

Many thanks
Samuel

It sounds like the anti-halation dye from the back of the film.

That usually dissolves in the earlier steps of the process, but perhaps there was a bit still on the film.

It's of no consequence. Just make sure it's all gone, i.e. a clean rinse, before you stop washing.
