He shot thousands of slides which are, nowadays, almost completely covered up with fungus. Any idea if this is recoverable ? Any advice is welcome. Thank you everybody

You could use PEC-12 emulsion cleaner but this might make things worse. This is the guy that does all my scanning - have a look at the results from ICE: http://oscans.com.au/samples.html
