With my supply of Forte Polywarmtone steadily dwindling to exhaustion, I now need to consider a warmtone paper replacement. At this point, I'm willing to consider graded papers.

I had considered Kenmore Kentona - but, alas, that's gone, too.

Slavich's Bromportrait seems interesting, but there's very little information available for it on the Web (at least to the English-speaking world).

Does anybody have any experience with this paper? Is its gradation somewhat similar to Forte Polywarmtone or Fortezo or Ilford Warmtone? How does it behave when toned in sepia or selenium?

Thanks

I've used Slavich bromoportrait....it is decent paper, but I wouldn't call it a replacement for Polywarmtone. I did not care for it, so I haven't used it much. I have not tried toning it, though, except after lith printing with it. When lithed, it turns a very much a sepia color when selenium toned.

Have you tried Fomatone? It is the closest I know of to Polywarmtone. It tones very nicely in dilute selenium (go at least 1:25...it tones fast in more concentrated solutions). I haven't sepia toned it, but it does bleach readily. The downside is that it is expensive compared to Slavich.

I've tried the glossy and the glossy embossed (the latter was purchased my mistake). Its not as warmtone as Forte Fortezo. I've dev'ed it in Ansco 130 and Agfa Neutol WA with the latter yielding a good warm tone. A very nice paper which I plan to use more of in the future.
