Congrats. What a game!

It was like a ghost town around here at 5.30, it seems the entire country was in front of a TV somewhere.
And the team didn't disappoint, it was a great game.. and first time we won the Grand Slam since 1948 :D

Congratulations. We Italians just added another "wooden spoon" to our collection of last places. :D But it was a pleasure to see anyway.

I guess you guys and gals missed my posting yesterday. Maybe I was trying to be too clever in heading my tread "reprinting a 61 year old negative".

Sorry Vincent, I though you were printing an old negative of yours from when you were a young lad :D

I missed the match, was in Amsterdam and in the airport about to board the plane for home, mad panic, one of our group was missing and they were calling him over the radio system, at the same time we were trying to ring him, he turned up eventually. Beside me there was this mad Irish guy on his knees as if he was praying, listening to his mobile phone telling us there were 2 minutes left and Wales had a penalty. I walked down to the plane door heard a cheer and knew we had won.

I saw the highlights on BBCWorld News Sport -- kind of. They started the broadcast with the Irish ahead (switched to a recap of the french pounding the Italians), about a minute later they reported that the Welsh had scored and that they were up with only a couple min's left, (switched to cricket-- which I'll never undersatand -- it seems NZ lost to India, but how you would know is beyond me) and just as they were finishing they switched live to the pitch with the Irish celebrating their victory. It sounded like a great game. Congrats to the Irish.

Bring a sword or something heavy. He's seen the Karate Kid and knows his 'wipe on, wipe off'

I thought he only used his "wipe on, wipe off technique" on the dishes? Tex I'd say you're fairly safe there...

Bernard Dunnes fight was brilliant too.. as was Katie Taylor's beforehand. She's a local girl and I've been following her since she first appeared on the scene, a gorgeous looking girl with a less than gorgeous right hook!

And don't forget Andy Lee, another world champion in the making. A really nice guy and classy fighter.
