I'm surprised they didn't include Edward Weston's powerful photograph of Armco Steel, done in the 20s. He considered it one of his strongest pieces. And it definitely reflects that era's glory in the triumphant advance of industry and technology. I never understood the adulation of Sheeler -- others, notably Srand and Weston, were so much more articulate in their vision when photographing machinery and industry.

Yes indeed, the Armco Steel photograph is one of my favorites.
