I bought a Sinar Zoom but can't get it to work no matter what I try.
The advance/winding lever just won't stop. It doesn't stop neither at the "Exp" mark, nor after each exposure.

After closing both latch, I press the reset button with the changeover lever to "load". I advance the film to "exp mark, but it doesn't stop. I turn changeover lever to "exp", I open the darkslide, do an exposure, close the darkslide, press the reset button and turn the winding lever. Again it just keeps going till the end of the roll.

I'm scratching my head.

Faulty holder or is there a solution?

Obviously there is something wrong. You load in "load" position. When the loading is done and the back closed, the reset button has to be pushed again. The advance will then go to the first photo and stop. Then the lever has to be put into exposure position. Now the advance system is ready for the chosen format for the following photos. The film counter window is automatically set.

It seems as if you follow the instructions. So there is something wrong...

I've never owned or used one, but I did have a friend who had owned one for several years and used it many times, but often with fairly lengthy periods of disuse between uses.
Even he struggled to remember how to use it properly after a period of disuse - it appeared to me to be quite non-intuitive.
So it may just need time.
