I was out working with my Sinar Norma and realized that the lens aperture does not connect to the shutter, where it can be set. It is not that big a problem, since I mostly use the lenses wide open. Is there a way to fix this or is t because it is made for some other model than the Norma ?

Sounds like you're using a lens mounted on a DB mount - which requires a 'DB shutter'. The shutter controls the aperture of the DB lens via a linkage. What sort of shutter are you using...?? I'm not sure if I'm 'getting' your situation... clarify maybe?

I am using a DB mounted lens and a DB shutter. It seems like the pin on the lens is too short.

The shutter is a DB shutter type II (the latest model). The lenses are on back DB boards. I dont know if it is af any significance to the problem. The camera is as I wrote an old Sinar Norma.

hmmmm.... it should mate perfectly. I haven't had one for a long time... try cocking it first before mounting it...? I don't think it'll matter. Looking closely at it should reveal the problem... the newer shutters accomodate up to f/4 - so i guess that can't be the problem...!
